Ten years and still going strong

Friday 22nd August 2008 – At the Founder and Group Director’s three level manor in Melbourne a surprise party was held, where representatives of AMD Telecom presented Michael Karikis plethora of gifts, video footage and telegrams from across the world to celebrate the companies 10-year anniversary.

Just under 10 years ago AMD Telecom was breaking new ground in the field of mobile telephony. With the introduction of GSM network the company clearly positioned itself as a trailblazer and a customer choice of mobile telephony in Australia. Despite the competition it is still playing its role successfully and is even strengthening it in view of its results. There are already over 100,000 subscribers and utilizes all three major network for mobile telephony, landline, broadband internet and VoIP.

As AMD Telecom is following the developments in the field of mobile telephony in the world, it is consistently offering new products and services to its Channel Partners and subscribers. It is the wide range of products and services, which will become even wider with the development and integration of mobile telephony with Internet, which has precipitated the new corporate image.

Second part of the 10-year anniversary bash was devoted to the presentation of the introduction of all three network providers on one single billing platform with consolidated choices for the customer. From Monday 1st September 2008, customer will have more choices, greater coverage with the introduction of our tri-level options. WAP portal, which will enable users to surf WAP and adapted HTML web pages right through their mobile phone. Of course all the information currently available via SMS will also be available. As they are persistently enriching the range of this information at Mobitel, one will soon be able to access more than 20 different sets of contents via SMS Info and WAP.
